Not only will you learn how to play the cello, you will find a community of other musicians.
The piano is a complex and powerful instrument, with the ability to be played loud and strong, or very soft and delicate. Students will learn how to harness the beauty and force of the piano by better understanding its role and function. Lessons take place on one of two instruments; our turn of the century white upright piano with ivory keys, or our 1920’s Kranich & Bach baby grand.Register
We welcome all students of all skill levels in piano and cello (or other) to workshop a piece they are learning. A chance to play in front of others in preparation for bi-yearly student recitals and other performance opportunities they may encounter.
Welcomes beginner students (1-3 years of private study or less) to learn over the course of the session, easy arrangements of tunes or pieces (duets/trios/quartets) in addition to their private lesson, focusing on ensemble-playing skills.
Welcomes intermediate students (3 years of private study or more) (duets/trios/quartets) prepare and perform repertoire, in addition to their private lesson, working on ensemble-playing skills.Go to the registration page
Music theory is an essential co-requisite in the study and practise of any instrument, leading to a well-rounded musical education. To better develop one’s musical literacy and understanding, and to enhance and enrich the musical experience at all levels, students are encouraged to include the study of music theory.Go to the registration page
